A memorial service for former minister Dilu and a conference of Awami League delegates was held in Ishwardi, urging the boat to win.

Former Land Minister and Member of Parliament Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu's Memorial and Pabna District Awami League Representative Conference has been held.

 SM Kamal, Organizing Secretary of the Awami League Central Committee, was present as the chief guest at the remembrance meeting and district Awami League delegates' conference at Iman Community Center in Ishwardi town on Saturday (September 5) at 11am.

 Pabna District Awami League Acting President and District Council Chairman Rezaul Rahim Lal presided over the function and General Secretary Golam Farooq Prince MP presided over the function. Square Group Chairman, Muktijoddha and Association of Television Channel Owners-ATCO President Anjan Chowdhury Pintu were present as special guests.  State Minister Shamsul Haque Tuku MP, Pabna-2 MP Ahmed Firoz Kabir MP, reserved women's seat Nadira Yasmin Jolly MP, Natore-1 (Lalpur-Bagatipara) MP Shahidul Islam Bakul MP, Pabna-4 by-election Awami League nominated  Candidate Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas, a heroic freedom fighter.

 SM Kamal, organizing secretary of the Awami League's central committee on the Pabna-4 (Ishwardi-Atgharia) constituency, said at the commemorative meeting and delegates' conference that the constituency was known as the base of the Awami League in the last five parliamentary elections.  The seat became vacant on the death of district Awami League president Shamsur Rahman Sharif, an elected MP from the constituency.  Meanwhile, the central Awami League has nominated party district vice-president Ishwardi Upazila Parishad chairman Bir Muktijoddha Nuruzzaman Biswas for the seat.  This seat belongs to Awami League.  Candidate Nuruzzaman is a very popular and good man.  We believe in the party way, the people of this area will spontaneously elect him as MP.
