MP Soto Monir distributed in Gopalpur solar lights and seeds and rice seedlings among farmers and wheelchairs among the disabled.

Upazila Executive Officer Bikash Biswas presided over the distribution of seeds and rice saplings among the street, solar lights and farmers and wheelchairs among the disabled at the Upazila Hall on Sunday morning organized by the Upazila Administration at Gopalpur in Tangail.


Under the 'Annual Development Program (ADP)' under Gopalpur Upazila Parishad, 22 wheelchairs have been distributed among the disabled in Gopalpur Upazila in the financial year 2019-2020.

In the fiscal year 2020-2021, under the agricultural incentive program in Kharib-II season, free transplanted aman paddy seedlings, tray-produced paddy seedlings, masakalai seeds and fertilizers and distribution of short and medium term vegetable seeds among 600 flood-affected marginal and small farmers. He said that street lights and home solar panels have been distributed among 1032 poor people.


Among the teachers and employees of Upazila Private-MPO Madrasa in Gopalpur, a check of financial incentive has been distributed to 6 persons by the Hon'ble Prime Minister for a total of Tk. 398500.

Soto Monir, Member of Parliament for Tangail-2 constituency was present as the chief guest at the distribution ceremony.


Besides Executive Officer Bikash Biswas, Upazila Vice Chairman Mir Rezaul Haque, Almannagar Union Chairman Prof Abdul Momen, Hadira Union Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Quader Talukder, Thana OC Investigation Kaiyum Khan Siddiqui were present as special guests.


Gopalpur Upazila Awami League leaders and officials and employees of various departments of the upazila were also present.
