A young man died while trying to provide electricity connection illegally in Madhupur of Tangail.
Madhupur Fire Service Station Officer Delwar Hossain said Faruk Hossain, 25, son of Kitab Ali of Chakand Takipur village in Golabari village of Madhupur upazila, was identified as Saman Ali, son of Haji Mozammel Haque of the same village. Farooq was called for illegal connection.
He then lifted her to the top of the pole to give her electricity connection. While connecting there, Farooq got electrocuted and died after getting stuck with a 230 bolt wire.
The deceased Farooq has a daughter. Farooq is the youngest third son of his parents.
The victim's father Kitab Ali said the incident was tantamount to murder. I want justice for killing my child.
In this incident, DGM of Madhupur Palli Bidyut Office Biplob Kumar said that a young man named Faruk Hossain died while making illegal connection to the pole of Palli Bidyut.
A grocer named Saman Ali of the same area lifted Farooq to the electricity pole to give him an illegal connection to his meter. Totally they wanted to connect the stolen electricity. Which is completely illegal and unprincipled. It is imperative that such illegal incidents be properly prosecuted.
Delwar Hossain, station officer of Madhupur Fire Service, admitted the truth of the incident and said, "We went to the spot and got to know the locals."
Farooq died after being entangled in an electric wire.
The locals have brought down the frozen body of the deceased Farooq with a bamboo stick.
Locals further said that while illegally connecting electricity to Salman Ali's meter, he lifted it on an electric pole to connect with Farak and immediately got his hand entangled with the electric wire and as a result Farooq was electrocuted and died on the spot.
Locals and eyewitnesses demanded appropriate punishment for the culprit.
