"The traditional boat race of rural Bengal was held at Tangail"

The traditional boat race of rural Bengal has been held at Kalihati in Tangail.
The competition was organized by Lab Zone and Hormone Center at Konabari Bill of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
Visitors flock to the area from early morning to see the traditional boat rides of rural Bengal. Ignoring the tax virus, thousands of people of different ages, including the elderly and children, came from other areas to see the boats. Well-equipped boats from different upazilas of the district and colorful outerwear took part in the competition.
The sound of the rhythm of the musical instrument and the squeaking sound of the baitha became monotonous in that bill.
Some people rent small boats and take up positions in different parts of the bill with their families. On the occasion of the boat ride, there are stalls of different shops around the place.
The boat race ends in the evening.
The chief guest on the occasion was Iyad Ali Sarkar, Chairman, Lab Zone and Hormone Center. Former banker Abul Hossain presided over the function. Kalihati Upazila Paikara Union Parishad Chairman Azad Hossain, former chairman Afzal Hossain Mollah and Syed Nuruzzaman Mintu, Awami League president Haider Ali Mollah, general secretary Nazrul Islam and managing director of Lab Zone and Hormone Center were special guests. Abdus Chhabur etc.
The guests later distributed prizes among the winners.
Abdus Chhabur, managing director of Lab Zone and Hormone Center, said,
"This is the first time that this boat race has been organized." Thousands of people from different parts of the country came to see the boat race. In the future, a large scale boat race will be organized.
