"Housewife killed by snake bite in Tangail"

A housewife has died after being bitten by a snake at Basail in Tangail. The incident took place at Paschimpara village in Kanchanpur UP on Monday. The deceased was identified as Tayyiba Akhter, 21. She is the wife of Bulbul Khan, a businessman in the area. The Bulbul-Tayyiba couple has an 11-month-old son.


Kanchanpur UP Chairman Mamunur Rashid Mamun confirmed the news of the housewife's death.


According to the family sources of the deceased, housewife Tayyiba went to the kitchen to make breakfast.


 At that time, when he pulled the wooden pile next to him to light the fire in the stove, he was suddenly bitten by a poisonous snake.


When the members of the house were informed about the matter, his physical condition deteriorated further if he had to go through the local Kabiraj. 


He was taken to a private clinic in Sakhipur Upazila Sadar around 12 noon and died while undergoing treatment.
