Press conference against alleged journalist in Tangail for demanding extortion

A press conference has been held in Bhunapur, Tangail against the alleged journalist Zahurul Islam in protest of the demand for large sums of money and death threats by serving false and fake news in the name of 'Free Food and Bakery'. Govinda Kishore Pal, proprietor of Mukta Food, held a press conference at the newly constructed Mukta Food and Bakery Factory in Matikata of the upazila on Sunday noon. Zahurul Islam is the son of Majid Sheikh of Bagdumur village in Sirajganj Sadar upazila.
In a written complaint at the press conference, he said, "The Tangail district representative of the daily Mukta Khabar, Md. A so-called journalist by the name of Zahirul Islam had been demanding large sums of money from me by presenting false, fabricated, fake and harassing news in the name of my organization at different times. On the evening of August 25, two men stopped my motorcycle and threatened to kill me for refusing to pay. Not only that, the journalist and his terrorist forces also threatened to stop the construction of the newly built factory.
He is accused of using a stolen motorcycle in his name. Shah Alam Pramanik, president of Bhunapur Press Club, Subhas Chanda Pal, assistant teacher of Gobindasi High School, local social worker Md. Moniruzzaman, Md. Locals including Mujibur Rahman.
Govinda Kishore Pal further said, “I have been running the handicraft company of my elder brother late Prabhas Chanda Pal for a long time with the approval of BSTI for quality control of every product of Mukta Food. An insidious mahal has given me baseless news to disgrace me in the society and to obstruct my business work with harassment. 'Therefore, I strongly protest and condemn these news.
It may be mentioned that the owner of Matikata Muktafood and Bakery owner of the upazila, Koyra, presented false, fabricated and fake news in Mukta Khabar newspaper on Tuesday (September 18) under the headline 'Fingering banana tree'. Zahirul Islam. He later protested in the newspaper apologizing for the fake news.
The fake news was re-posted on Tuesday last year (August 16) by post. Ailsa Khan (CNG driver), CIO Bairan Khan, the alleged journalist Zahirul Islam sent a letter allocating Shungram of Ghatail and demanded extortion.
